Bold and full of character
Look for flavour descriptions that explicitly say bold or intense. Dark roasts may fit this profile, but they do not indicate caffeine content on their own. The “Bold” filter uses documented product attributes.
Creamy and balanced
Pay attention to the flavour characteristics described for your variety. “Creamy” describes a product profile and does not guarantee the same result in the cup with every machine.
100 % Arabica or a blend?
Either can make a good espresso. The Arabica percentage describes the composition. Strength, acidity and aroma also depend on origin, roasting and preparation.
Decaffeinated and in the right pack size
Choose products explicitly labelled as decaffeinated. Then compare the documented pack size and price per pod. The unit price is shown only when the pod count and pack price are known.
