Questions and answers

Good to know.

What are E.S.E. coffee pods?

E.S.E. stands for Easy Serving Espresso. The compact pods contain a portion of ground, pressed coffee in filter paper. The common E.S.E. format has a diameter of 44 mm.

Will the pods fit my machine?

Your machine must be explicitly compatible with 44 mm E.S.E. pods. This also applies to portafilter machines: use only a manufacturer-approved E.S.E. insert. Check your machine's manual.

Are E.S.E. pods and Senseo pads the same?

No. E.S.E. pods are compact espresso portions. The larger, soft Senseo pads belong to a different system. Nespresso capsules are another format too. Always check your machine's system.

Are there decaffeinated E.S.E. pods?

Yes. The range includes decaffeinated varieties, for example from Caffè Borbone and Kimbo. Look for labels such as “entkoffeiniert”, “koffeinfrei” or “Decaffeinato”.

How do I dispose of a used pod?

Follow the manufacturer's guidance and your municipality's rules. Compostability claims apply to the specific product. Dispose of the individual outer wrapper separately according to its material.

When is delivery free?
